Hi guys, wonder if anyone can help with my "little" problem.
My RS6 has developed a gearbox issue as follows.
When starting the engine and prior to making gear selection, the dash display stays red and no P D or R is displayed. Car will select reverse with a bit of a jolt and will also select D ( almost smoothly) and will drive normally but it appears only in second and fourth. Ni fault codes have appeared at any time.
When this first happened I was able to get all gears as normal by switching on and off the ignition with the engine running. This seemed to trigger something in the system that then allowed me to select all gears as normal, and the gear selection display went green and the paddles and sport mode worked perfectly.
Gearbox has just been serviced and just after the service all was well.
This may or may not be an electrical fault of some sort and one thing more. the front passenger footwell was flooded last year, and dried out but not sure if that will have affected some of the electrics or not.
Any ideas would be most gratefully received.
    Thank you.
    Doogy.
