Hi,

I've just bought a 8P RS3 and I'm looking for a local specialist to carry out servicing etc, I know there are several Audi specialists in the area but I'd prefer to use a specialist that has experiences with the RS.

I don't mind travelling within 30-40 miles.

Cheers

Thanks John, it was a memorable day (14th April 2013), and I think I'm the only one there still owning his car (and intend to remain doing so!).

More here:

Such a shame that the sound-track has been deleted...

I think you should get yourself another 8P RS3, John.

Forget the 8V and any upgrade that might give you a nanno second of speed, whenever...

Get an 8P RS3 and de-badge and have a laugh, 'cos an 8P looks more like a TDi but does sooooooo much more, as you know.

Why tell everyone what it is you're driving, know what I mean.

"STEALTH" is so much more "FUN"
:yahoo:
Or as someone once said at my door while drooling over my RS3: "does yer son let you drive that?"

And 8P RS3 prices are now sooooo tempting...

Haha we shall see next year John :)

There's now't I'd swap my RS3 for John, nothing. Love a lot of Audi cars (and 911s) but nothing out there rocks my boat. If I want a fast, safe, run I'll take the RS3 every time, especially if the weather is against me. Otherwise, I'm back to the old saying that 'faster means the journey time is less' and I do enjoy driving, so appreciate the time spent driving, if you see what I mean.

The thought of swapping my 8P Rs3 for a facelift at £'x'000's more for a nano second, or 'not more is mindless; and I always encourage others to think the same.

So for you I'd seriously consider the alternatives; for sure any Audi dealership will welcome you with open arms to sign up for a 'new' car; well they would, wouldn't they...

Good hunting NEXT year, hope it brings you everything you want, though for sure you'll be 'wanting' after the RS3...

Good to see you spending more time here on ASN - I feel a new Audi on the horizon: there's more to life than work, John... :superman:

I wish I had checked this back sooner. I just had an oil change done by Peter Ellam (VW Audi Specialist) in Huddersfield. They appear to have done a good job but I'd have gone to Stattler instead as I always prefer to use a high performance centre.

Stevie jnr and his team will look after u Idrees :)

I see. I'll be sure to go there in the future.

Peter Ellam Motor Engineers are a joke to say the least. They overfilled the engine by more than a litre of oil.

I was very lucky to have checked the dipstick (I only checked it as I was going to take it for a dyno run). Even luckier than I only covered 10-15 miles in the car. The owner/manager tried to tell me it wouldn't have caused any harm and that it "would have just burnt and come out of the exhaust". Although he drained it to the correct level when I took it back I didn't once hear an apology. I'll actually post another thread to warn others.

I was less than impressed with Ellam's when I used them for a service and MOT.

Their prices are also near dealer price and not very transparent. When it came to needing my cambelt changing, the main dealer was cheaper.
