Easy to remove, but they can be held in quite tight.
Just get a screw driver with a piece of card board under one end of it to free it. Then pull it out.

I got them out on mine with a finger, starting at the rear of the car, from the tailgate opening.Try not to seperate the rubber from the strip as it takes ages to get back on.
