Pretty much as per the heading. I've seen an add-on DAB that uses a phono AV input rather than FM modulator to connect to an existing head unit. Could I add it to an RNSE?

Sorry to bump this open again, but if I fit an AV input to the RNS-E as above, am I right in thinking some VCDS coding is also necessary? If so, what code(s) need changing and which menu(s) are they in?

You need to code the RNS-E for TV so add 1 to the last digit of your current code.

    • 0xxxxx?: Equipment II
      • +1 = Standard/Basic Value - Add to the Sum of Options below
      • +1 = TV-Tuner (PR-QV1/QV9) installed
      • +2 = CD-Changer or iPod/USB-Interface (PR-7A2/7A5/UF1/UF2) installed
      • +4 = Multi-Function-Steering Wheel (MFSW) installed

Yes that's the main unit, without that the lead is usless.

There are two versions of the IMA the plus version which controls devices listed on kufatec's web site and the basic version which gives no control but is a lot cheaper.
