I've got a double din concert unit in at the moment, I want to fit in the silver RNS-E sat nav so will this be a straight swap? Are there different types? Also if anyone does have one to sell let me know... Thanks

you will possibly need a quadlock adapter (about 30 and easy to obtain) and an arial adapter its a straight swap presuming youre not fitting bluetooth tv or any other units as well

Since your concert is double din you won`t need an adapter. Double dins already have the quadlock connector. All you`re gonna need is the GPS antenna and some coding!

Thanks for the info so far guys. Is there a difference in firmware and functionality between the chrome and non-chrome buttoned RNS-E?

Actually no, both units work in the same way. Chromes are newer but no improved functionality. Just more stylish ;)

Phil i believe it was worth it. Chrome blends in great with the rest of the unit. Those black buttons seem a bit "boring" to me :)

I just took the plunge and bought a 2009 (non-chrome) RNS-E from a guy called 'gps9009g' on ebay. I bought it on Friday and it arrived today (Monday). It was listed as used but it appears to be totally mint. I'm very happy. Having it installed in the next week or two, along with OEM bluetooth. Happy days. :yahoo:
