That RNS-e unit looks just the same as mine and mine is sat on the desk in front of me. You'll need a loom converter for it tho like this one

Also the seller mentions the bluetooth but that is a seperate unit and is not built in

I'm pretty new to it all as well so am learning as I go and reading stuff on here. I bought all the kit but now I am waiting to get my car back. I'm hoping mine will be plug and play as I only have an ebay special vag com cable and I hear these are no good..

If he upgraded it himself then I think it would have the adaptor loom you need. But as its a different model you might have to change some wires (for bose and stuff)

No chance you need to remove a unit in the rear of the car and link two wires for starters as there's two different canbus systems with the rnse-d. The wiring is all wrong and the gps connections are different. I been there not too hard but you need to do a lot of reading.

Double din mount is here. But the sat nav isn't yet :(
So going to put it in today and trim down the climate. Don't need a radio for abit anyway.

I'm the other way around, had my RNS-E for about 2 weeks, finally going to pock up the double din from Audi tomorrow! also bought a multimedia plug, and an AUX socket so i can plug my ipod in and still utilise my CD Changer

I am dreading doing the double din fit, especially the trimming of the climate controls. Let me know how you get on with this, are you using the PDF document with it all in? Wish there was a template for trimming

I just went at it fella. I was going to take photos but i was just on one (again).
I'm going to smooth off the climate control some other time. My centre console is knackered. Previous owner has screwed something to it and its cracked all over. So when i change that I'll take some photos.

it looks like a long dull job in the PDF instructions I have, got told it will take about 2 hours and involve about 3 million screws!! great! Wish it had been double din to start with, but then i guess I would not of had the 6 Disc changer in the glovebox!

You could order the double DIN Symphony II with the CD changer as well... made my RNS-E retrofit in a B6 S4 real easy.
