right a4 b5 rear speakers not working help

ok i have a 110 se tdi 1996

rear speakers dont work

looks like wires are missing in block behind headunit

the brown connector block only has 4 wires coming from it

is there another block for the rear speaker on these with an aftermarket head unit

any help appreciated thanks dan

from the factory the rear speakers are powered by an amp.As you have an aftermarket headunit,you need an adapter to connect the wires for the amp to your headunit.I changed the rear speakers and ran new wiring on mine.

The wires on the small yellow block are for the amp and rear speakers. one of the White wires, a yellow wire and purple i think iirc. One white one is a 12v remote for the amp. BUT, these wires are very thin and someone said they are earthed (all something to do with audi's amp)

I ran some wire from HU to the rear nearside boot liner. In there is the terminal block for the amp. Red/Green & Blue/Green is right and left POSITIVE respectively. Brown/black & Brown/Red are negative.
