pro's and con's for this,I spent two years doing the bloke thing (penthouse flat in the city, fit as a fiddle and having birds a plenty)and admit it was one of the best times of my life
missus and kids came along and its very rewarding and wouldn't change it for the world but I couldn't say which path to take...the world we live in isn't the best is it?
I remember a while back I spotted a hottie and thought 'phwooar' and then I realised it was the missus!!
Don't agree with the stereotype that every woman over thirty is a bunny boiler as I had a grade A psycho who was in her twenties

I had a psycho who was only 19! Haunted me for months much to the ammusement of my family and friends. Everywhere I went she was there, countless phone calls at home, work and on my mobile. She would sit outside my office on her, many, days off. Wait outside my house. Follow me on nights out with mates and when I was on dates.

Bugged my mates to find out what was going on as apperently I loved her and we where going to get married and have a family... All this after chatting to her in a pub and having a one night stand.

Fortunately I had split up with a G/F and moved back home until I had sorted out my finances. So I was able to move out, change my mobile number and was changing jobs so I managed to loose her. Nightmare!

Theres some nut Jobs out there.. i had a simular encounter with the psycho female gene.. however wasnt as bad as you MB at the point where i found 47 missed calls on my mob i told her where to go, and took me about 3-4 months to actually get rid of her, phone calls, emails, texts. Luckily she didnt know where i live but bloody hell!

Also dont you hate those girls that you've been on a few nights out with and then they start getting all possessive, like who you texting, who you looking at, bla bla.. its like woooah calm down love we just met.

Well i was only comparing the two.Having all this is good, and dont get me wrong i do meet girls and its the same story nice place blah, blah, end of the night shag and get out in the morning. As someone said there is nothing like a guaranteed one you wake up with in the morning, better than you going up and down the whole town looking for one or which one is next .At the end of day plasma, lcd are materials things.

Bit of a pretentous start to the topic! Surely you could have just asked 'Would you rather have expensive material things and be single, or have nothing and be in a good relationship?' rather than saying all the pimping goodies you have?

Anyway, i think you can have both. If you're both eyeing up the same things in life you'll generally get what you want. I would give up all my stuff to have the relationship, but then I also worked hard for all my toys, and i'm willing to share them, apart from the PS3, that's mine!

Also, Plamsa is a better picture than LCD, but LCD is more durable! Hence why i got an LCD :p

sniperlover, you've asked what we all prefer/think. How do you feel about it when people say you have everything? Do you feel there is something missing? You're still a young guy so dont stress about finding a lady, at the end of the day, as long as you are happy thats the main thing. Some people may be happy being single and have lots of stuff, and other married with nothing, a combination of being married to the right person and having nice stuff would be the best though!:sly:

My older brother who was single for ages and not someone anybody expected to enjoy being married or a dad has been married and a dad for the last 5 yrs and says its the best thing he has ever done. He used to be a rich batchelor with his own paid house, 50 inch plasma and a new porsche 911 turbo, but he wasnt truely happy. Now he is (had to chop the 911 turbo for a bigger house tho :3sadwalk:).

Everyones different. its good to listen to other peoples opinions but I'd say listen to your gut too. Some good replies on here!

Havin nice things is good and i know the feeling of work work work and sometimes not havin a life as such.
But i think you can always find time for someone in your life.

The only thing is finding that person who is understanding about your work and also about giving you your space. Oh and of course someone who you really like being with.
Must admit i do enjoy bein single at 27 and havin my own space but then again i do miss bein with someone and enjoyin each other.
I think you can have both and be happy. Bein happy is the most important part. Love can bring a lot of that

I had a Grade A nutter, in her teens!! Trashed my flat, bottled me, and got ME in trouble with the Po-Po!! To top it all off, I took her back, mainly because she was smoking hot! All my mates gave me ****, and wish id listened. Broke up 2 months ago, and havent looked back since (partly because she broke my neck lol)!

    Single FTW right now! :rockwoot:

Couldn't agree more, I have built my life with my wife. Without her understanding there is no way we could be together, have our gorgeous son and live the life we now lead.

I spent the first 7 years of our relationship traveling for work and was out of the country 6 months a year. I'd be told at 5pm on a friday that I was leaving on the sunday for 3 months work in south america for example.

Now I am out of the house for around 12 hours a day monday to thrusday, fridays I leave late as I like to get our son up, dressed and feed him breakfast before I leave when possible.

I'm also out once a week with a client for a meal.

Claire understands that I need to put the hours in to do my job, on the plus side we enjoy a nice life and we make the most of our weekends together.

    J.

    P.S. I don't have a plasma either :(

Personally I'd rather be flat broke and in love than have 'stuff'.

While having stuff may be nice it doesn't keep you warm in bed (unless you have a nice electric blanket), it doesn't make you laugh (unless you have a DVD of Lee Evans or similar), it doesn't thrill you (unless you have an expensive/fast car), you can't have sex with it (unless you have a realdoll!), it doesn't have meals waiting for you (unless you have a microwave with a timer), it won't be there for you during the bad times (unless the bad time is your house burning down or getting burgled), it can't pick you up if you're feeling down (unless you have a small beer fridge next to the sofa)...

    Err, actually...

Being single is great for a bit but I don't think anything can replace or compare to what you have with someone who genuinely loves you.
