Reversing light out!

sorry guys for sounding 'slightly' dumb, but what type of bulb is required for the reversing lights on my 2005 a3 2.0 tdi?
a friend said its the same as the brake light bulbs, is this true?

Hi - my 2005 2.0 tdi sportback uses 12 volt (obviously!) 21 watt wedge style bulb which just pulls straight out ( not twist and pull ). Halfords ref HBU582 . It is NOT the same as the brake light bulb. Hope this helps
