Reverse Problem....

so got home today. Reversed into my bay took the car out of reverse and the rear sensors were bleeping. Pulled the car forward and they stopped.

It looks like the sensors are working when out of reverse. I noticed also my reverse light was staying on! Could this just be a reverse switch issue or they more complexed than that!

For now I have pulled the fuse. But I then have the Engine light come on permenantly and the glow plug light flashes! Is this ok to drive with it like that?

So been looking on the old web. Looks like it could be a dodgy reverse light switch. Can this be done without the aid of ramp or pit?

IIRC it's just above and to the rear of one of the driveshafts on the gearbox....O/S I think.

And not too sure but you maybe able to do it on your back with the car on axle stands.
