Reverse lights not working

Hi,

both my reverse lights on my A3 1.8T do not appear to be working. I have changed the bulbs and the fuse and still nothing? any ideas what the fault could be now?

you've not got it in reverse? lol

mate had a silimar problem in his 1.9 tdi, the connector wire near the gearbox broke, it was located in the lower right (if facing the car) part of the engine bay

LOL and yeah i did have it in reverse when checking
