Reverse full lock , wind up ?

May of allays happened..but .. just backed out of a parking slot , at full lock , after about 90 degs , gave the impression of something winding up , like a elastic band at the rear wheels ?

Driving normally otherwise , reverses ok , full lock forward ok ... just full lock reverse ? is the rear diff limited slip ?

Tnx -G,

Haldex/controller potentially faulty ... Try pulling fuse 31 and see if it does the same thing... If not then chances are the controller is faulty

<tuffty/>

Tnx can try that , fuse location ?
No dash warnings showing

Haldex or a faulty diff wouldn’t bring up a dash warning. fuse is driver side of the dash when the door is open

I had a similar issue temporarily after the car being on ramps for a few days - maybe look at the haldex fluids and filter

new haldex fluid and filter went in about 10,000 miles back ..

...Now have NO fault , , backed out the same space , 90 deg nothing , full lock 360 reverse turn , clock wise and anti clock wise , nothing ,

Ahhhh but this is how it begins.....soon it will do it more often and more often and eventually you'll lose the will to live!

£50 says it's either, the Haldex controller or the Haldex wiring clip that's corroded.

After pulling the haldex fuse?

No never got to that stage , took it to an empty park, tried the 90 each way expecting the lock up , nothing, full 360 each way .. just the same .. so its due service , according to the dash at start up , good time to check the connectors ..

Check the connections to rear diff/haldex , connectors all in good condition , fault not reoccurred
on with the show .. till something else drop's off , other than the n/s track rod end that has play
...
