Hello,
I recently discovered that diesel audi b6's came equipped with a electric auxiliary heater. Living in New York state it gets very cold in the winter. I am interested in retrofitting this part to my petrol powered audi.
I retrofitted the same system to a mk6 GTI and it was very simple- connect one pair of wires to a power source, connect the other pair to the can-bus system, and then finally enable the feature using VAGCOM.
Looking at the part for the audi it seems there are 6 pins divided into 3 connectors. The large size of these pins leads me to believe they all are for electricity, but this is just a guess.
Does anyone know how this heater is wired to the car?
The part number for the car is 4B2819011
I cannot find any info related to this system. With diesel audi b6's never sold in the USA, I figured asking on a UK forum would be my best bet.
I appreciate any help anyone can provide.
