I know that this has probably been asked before, but I can't find the references to it.

How difficult is it to retrofit cruise control to my 02 A4 avant tdi manual?

I have the DIS, I have a registered vag-com, and I'm not afraid to get down and dirty with disassembling the relevant parts on the car. The car is a highline (dipped lights come on with a disconnected rotary light switch) and I have a friendly breakers yard nearby where I should be able to get the indicator stalk without too much difficulty.

I have seen references that suggest that for my car configuration, I would need to swap the stalk, recode the instruments (17) to show cruise is present, recode the engine (01) to show cruise is present and recalibrate the steering wheel angle sensor. Is it that simple?

    Thanks,
    Cathal.
