retrofitting cruise control?

I have a 97/P 2.8 Quattro. Is it possible to retrofit cruise control to it? I.e. from a breaker or similar?
Whats involved, and how much work?

yeah i bought a universal kit from german ebay for £90. installed for over 8 months and still going strong! love cruise control on quiet motorways
