Reset Service Light Without VAG-COM!

Hey Guys

When I asked a while ago about whether you could reset the service light on an 8p a3 without vagcom nobody thought you could, I just found this link so I thought I would share it with you all and maybe save a few people a bit of money (I'm not suggesting you shouldn't service your car, just don't pay to get the light turned off)

I just did it by the way and it worked perfectly.

Ah thanks for the link, when i first bought my car the dealer tried to turn the service light off like this. Worked for a few days then it came back but very handy for the smaller interim services

i though it was law for obd2 cars to be resetable by the end user, ie with knoobs etc.
