    Hey guys

I know everyone on here is bored of this topic and so am I. However I will be needing some tyres very soon and will be getting some wheels at the same time. There are so many suppliers to choose from it is overwhelming, I just want a good replica wheel supplier where the wheel is not made from chocolate and will take daily abuse from pot holes and speed bumps and wont look like they are ten years in a month and give me tracking issues. Is there such a replica brand/supplier?

Hopefully you guys can tell me of you're experiance with replica wheels and help me make my mind up. I have been offered replica wheels of pretty much any VAG OEM style for approx £600 inc Toyo tyres which I thought was very good and is from a reputable supplier but he does say the reps are far eastern. I know Italian made reps are supposed to be better but where the hell do you get them from!?! No one seems to sell them :sorry:

    Thanks all

I just rang www.performancealloys.com earlier today and asked him where they are from, he said some are from china and some from italy and he didnt seem to want to talk about it anymore than that! The pricing on the web site is all over the place too!

Ill have a look at rochford tyres

Got mine from Rochford - laquer started lifting after 6 months. Rochford said they'd need to inspect them to determine if they were covered under warranty. If not, I'd be responsible for all courier/repair costs. Wheels were only £220 for the 4 (without tyres) though, so it wasn't worth the trouble. It may just have been a bad set though, dunno how others have fared...

are you talking about the wheels on the car in your sig (rs8 rep.?)? i had some on my a4 a couple of years ago, from wheelworx.net in mansfield. same problem, lacquer lifted and they looked pants within a couple of months. when i was due for tyres i decided to go for a set of cheap non-diamond cut wheels (new rs4 replica) at 400 incl. tyres. the tyres are pants but at least the car looks clean n tidy again.

A mate has the 'RS8' reps on his 80 cab and the laquer is lifting on his too - it's more a feature of the diamond cut / laquered design more than anything. The production has to be exceptional for them to last, which you are going to have to pay for.

That said, you should see the state of my OEM Ronal Boleros - and they cost serious wedge from Audi!

My Ronal Boleros condition is the reason I want new wheels, they are in a pretty gammy state. Sorry but not really interested in the RS8 reps, not a fan of the wheel at all. Would be RS4 or maybe 6. I might look at some BBS or another decent make in a 17" to keep cost down now, I really cant be doing with forking out hundreds for wheels only for them to look 10 years old in 6 months. Unless anyone can confirm a supplier of decent reps that are worth the money

Cheers for the replies so far
