replace 2nd hand or refurb ??

i have seen allot of posts on esp and abs lights showing i had a fiddle with the longditudinal accelerator sensor and recalibrated it to 0.1 on the vag.com
as when we first plugged it in it showed -0.8 .... this seemed to work for about a week then the dreaded lights came on again...

i have 3 options i see to go ahead :

1. tamper with it again and wait for a few weeks to seeif they work correctly but also find out what they lateral and longditudinal are supposed to be calibrated at ...

2. send both sensor for a refurb through this guy on ebay .....

Go to the dreadded local audi garage and pay a mint

Any recommendations or anyone know the calbrations thatthey should be at!!!!

depends on what you mean a pay a mint. Isn't each one about £130 ?
Are both faulty and need replacing? I normally read on the forums people replacing one, but not both gone at the same time.
