As subject how do you go about removing the standard grill from an A3?

Can you do it without removing the bumper?

    Cheers Mark.

I was hoping you weren't going to say that.

    How easy?

Open the bonnet and then remove the 4 plastic pins above the grill on the slam panel.

Then unscrew the torx screws that hold the wheel arch liner to the bumper (three on each side).

Then unscrew the 2 bolts under the bumper. They are about a third of the way in from the sides and sit in the recess in the lower bumper underneath.

Pull on the sides of the bumper near where it attaches to the liner to unclip it from the sides and then pull it off frontwards.

You can then get to the grill.

It sounds like alot, but it really only takes about ten minutes and is very straight forward.

Take a look at this for a diagram http://www.audi-sport.net/attach/88805-Bumper%20removal.pdf
