Removing masking tape residue off vinyl?

Can anyone recommend what I can use to remove masking tape residue off a vinyl wrap?

I tried WD40 on a small patch and though it work, but it's only took a small layer off, and it's collected dirt again, and gone black. Now I didn't spray WD40 directly onto it, just incase I damage the vinyl.

Anything else worth using before I ruin it?

Auto glym bug and tar remover, excellent stuff - gets it off dead easy.

But will it remove my vinyl in the process? I have tar remover... Just afraid to use it!

Doubtfull as didn't remove the actual chip protection layer, just the residue left behind.

Not me, the previous owner, I think it's masking tape residue, it's ****** tough goo!

Hardened by age is a major ballache Joe,heat or friction is what we use but if its on vinyl no go,alcohol ? expensive mind hic
