remove headlamps

does any1 know how to remove the headlamps, do you have to take the bumper of?

Yeah it`s a bumper off job and getting the bumper off is not a straight forward job making it a pain in the *** to do.

yea you need to take the bumper off. there are three main screws just above the grill, leave them on till last, you need to unscrew all the ones underneath the front bumper and under the wheel arch. (you will need to remove part of the plastic arch lining as the are a two screw and one bolt each side, they are positioned on the side of the bumper where the top of bumper and front wings meet, bout half way between the wheel arch and head light) once these screw are out, come to front undo the main front three and it should come off easily. there are then two holes either side of each headlight, if you look down them, you can see a screw, i think u will need a star key for these. they are not screw as such, the headlight slots around these "screws" so just undo them slightly and pull headlight out, dont forget the undo the wiring loom!

Few tips:

Jack the car up on both sides (safely) then put it on full lock this will give you enough room to work under the wheel arch, loosen all the screws under one wheel arch and the ones above the grill on that side of the car that you need to work on (There might be others Ive forgotten about its been a while) this will give you a bit to play with. Unclip the loom and gently ease out the headlamp then slot the new one in. If you prefer to take the bumper off just remember to have a blanket or cardboard to rest it on, stops it from getting scratched...

I had to do this a few times dam BFG tests...
