Removal

Ok, I have done a search and can’t find anything,
I am thinking of getting some parts Flocked, is there a guide to remove the steering wheel cover without the airbag going off and also removal of the whole dash???

Has anyone had parts flocked before and is it had wearing what are your experiences

steering wheel removal.
disconnect battery. two holes in back of steering wheel with torx scews in.unscrew. disconnect airbag. do not turn ignition on with bag disconnected as airbag light comes on.

can i reconnect the air bag and drive the car without the cover on as i will need the car but need to sent the cover off???

you can drive around without the airbag connected. but you will need to use vag-com or vcds lite to reset the dash light. I think the cover holds the airbag in place.
