Remote keys wont erase!

So last week I popped round G60Lieghs and ****** my head trying to sync a new remote to his s3.

He currently has 2 working fobs, but wanted a third as the ones I am stocking look tidy.

Ive been through the manual and VCDS process of programming remotes, (no issue with transponders and immo), but for some reason they wont erase. The new remote wont sync, but is recognized in measuring blocks. New remote also immediately synced to my own car so not faulty.

There was a couple of databus errors, and I suspect those to be causing problems, or the CL unit itself, but for now we are head scratching. Im sure liegh will post the scan from vcds shortly.

Any thoughts?

Can bus errors can be ruled out as it was single wire operation between the TMC and instruments cluster for the RNS sat nav link. This has all been disconnected before trying sync again.
Central locking module isn't showing any fault codes

The only thing that I can think of is there a different procedure to do this between Tom's pre facelift 2wd and my facelift 4wd. Does the central locking alter?

My cars facelift too! To erase fobs go into the cl module, adaption group 00, and read and save. That should clear all remotes.
