Does anyone know what size battery(s) these take? And if there is a procedeure to follow to swap them? i.e. key recoding or only have 30 secs to swap battery etc.

Also, does anyone know if a flat key battery would affect the immobilser turning off?

Cheers

Two CR1620 batteries.

Just change both batteries as normal, as it should not need recoding, but if it does it takes about 2min and is explained in the manual.

Changed mine before with no probs and no recoding!

Ahhh, cool. Cheers. Do U need a second key for a recode? I only have one. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Would a flat battery affect why the key can't be scanned by the immobiliser? And therefore Y it can't be started?

Mine takes a single battery.

Note: Immobiliser coil doesn't require a battery in the key for the code to be read.
