Where are the relays in an A3 1.8T (MY98)

I have no idea, as I haven't looked but have you checked under the plastic cowling around the wiper motors at the bottom of the windscreen? I'm sure I've seen a box in there (NO, not the ECU).

instructions say 'remove drivers storage compartment' so I guess they are in behind that.

Ti ok.. found them under the steering wheels.. just remove the lower dash section /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Lol.. umm since I don't have the book I'm allowed to ask. Relay, what the hell does that mean?

To be honest, I dont think the manual tells you where they are. Just the fuses. I got the info off of the Edwin electrics PDF, sadly it doens't tell you what relay is what - you need ot but the electical flow diagram ££££££££!!!
