how can i find out what relay is for what under the drivers knee? ive got the service manual and all it shows is how to remove the whole relay unit :s

The relays are all numbered, so it shouldnt be too hard to look up the relay number and find out what its for?

There cant be too many relays under there i wouldnt have thaught?

OK, i just wanted to confirm. Ill give up and go with it!

Is the module under the rear seat or is it the one on the side of the pump?

As far as i'm aware the ABS ECU is bolted to the side of the pump itself.

You can probably remove it and have it repaired by someone like BBA_Reman

The only thing under the rear seat on mine is the control unit for the interior monitoring system

Maybe the earlier cars are different?

The later ones dont have a box like that, the electronics are all on the side of the pump itself.

For £25 i'd try changing that ECU pictured if your car has one!

Im going to have a look at whats on mine.. But theyre on ebay for next to nothing. If thats where the relay is then its worth a shot?
