Dear all,

Is it normal to have slightly higher tyre wear on the rear tyres of an S3?

For the past two tyre changes i've noticed a slight difference. The rears are on the legal limit and the fronts still have about 1mm above the legal limit left. I would have thought this is a bit odd due to the fronts not only driving the car more but heavier braking forces / steering etc.

Anyone else experienced this ?

Just for info, i had a look at my previous tyre choices and milage,

Goodyear F1's - 18,000miles
Michelin Pilot S2 - 25,000miles

Guess which i'm going for again !

Cheers.

interesting.

I have the uprated haldex and mine are wearing evenly. My F1's are also at 18,000 and need changing.

also have uprated haldex and wear on the rears is ever so slightly (and i mean slightly) greater. really not that much in it.

Got toyou T1Rs on and wear rate and performance have been excellent.

Mine has always worn the rears slightly quicker too mate. Glad to see you got such good mileage on the Pilot Sports as ive recently changed to them after previously runnig Parada's and only managing 8 to 10k on them.
