My 96 A6 has a tweeter and and a main speaker in each rear door however only the tweeter works i understand that the main speaker may well have and appears to have their own amp built in, its the same both sides only the the tweeter works. Its got a genuine Audi radio in it and a CD in the boot, I presume that the amp must have a live feed to work etc although nothing is listed on fuse listings etc Any ideas ? fronts work fine and before anyone asks yes i have moved the knob on the radio!!!!!!!!

where is the amp located?
do you have a test light, if so, you can check to see if power is coming in to the amp.
