Rear pads 80% worn - how many miles left?

    Just wondering as they discovered this in my service, down to 3mm of pad left apparently on the rears. Got it booked in for the 1st of Feb to be replaced, but just checking they wont horribly burn out in that time? :O

    You'll probably be fine. Rear Pads last ages - they hardly come on at all if you brake gently.

    agreed. although at that thickness they do need changing before you damage the disc. also the pads ability to dissipate heat will be reduced so under heavy braking you'll be loosing whatever effect they have
