Does anyone know how much rear legroom there is in the new sportback? Looks like 66cm on the previous model on the Whatcar website but can't find anything for the 8V model.

I had already checked this - no measurements for legroom.

"Thanks to the 58 millimetre increase in wheelbase length, the A3 Sportback offers ample rear seat space and easy access for three adults. It also offers several millimetres more head and leg room than its predecessor."

    Ample and several milimeters. Sorted!

Interesting that the wheelbase on the Sportback is longer still than the 3-door. Obviously the flexibility of the new MQB platform at work.

More legroom than a golf mk7?

Not a clue to be honest, but I wouldn't be surprised if VW used the same wheelbase for the Golf as the A3 so will probably be much the same.
