Second set for me. I was thinking about getting a set for the S4 too. Had a set on my old Jetta... very handy!

    I have never understood these.
thought they went out with those little rubber things you clip to the edge of the doors to stop your kids banging them when they open the doors!?

what actual benefit do they give?

My main reason for wanting them is that they will help stop rain and water run off from the roof going all over the switches and drivers arm.
Also you can keep the window open a bit and it stops masses around of wind from coming in to the cab.

My dad had them on all his 4x4 and works really well.

The 8L lads has started getting them I noticed.

I bought mine to keep the rain out.

On a cold wet morning when the window steams up I like to have the windows open an inch to allow air in but as soon as you take a corner the water runs off the roof and into the car, soaking the door card. The deflectors stop this.

Also in the summer I'd rather have my windows down then sit in the car with AC on. It's not often we get good weather in this country so I like to enjoy it. These wind deflectors take away some of the wind noise when driving at speed with the windows open.

    Noooooooooooo

Any plans for rear window louvers?!!!!!

An invention of the 70's that should have remained, I get the practicality as a3 window shower is a right PITA, but surely you get wind noise all of the time with these?

There is a slight increase in wind noise but my drivers door is not sealing properly, so all ways had wind noise.
The door dropped before I had it, I lifted it up and I think its gone again. Need to look at it.

They are not that massive ugly lump of plastic like they once was in the 70s (I was not born then, so its ok for me to not know about them :))

I'll grant you that! I think I've got a downer on them as I've seen them on too much 'rice' and 'blue oval' recently!

They do tend to have a bad image about them.
from the massive over size ones you see on taxi's and pajeros.

but theses are smaller and more stylish.
