radio wont turn off wjth ignation??

hi there i have a audi a4 b7 single din concert with bose and bluetooth, but the radio wont turn on and off with the ignation key, turns off maually with the button on radio, also no display on the dis for the radio, checked all fuses etc all ok, any ideas

If there is no DIS and wont turn off then there is a can bus error, the radio is connected directly to the cluster with the can hi & lo wires. These are used to turn the radio on/off, lighting, radio station display in the DIS and GALA information.

Not sure what the exact fault is, but it's certainly something in that area.

Yeah it sounds like its wired up to a direct permanent live.
Can you turn on the stereo with the ignition off?

You can turn on all Audi HU's with the ignition off/keys out. The difference is if the HU shuts down after an hour, this means it's running without CANBUS telling it the ignition is on

hi thanks for the replys, yeah it switches on with the ignation off, it also aftrer an hour turns off wen you are driving, would this need to be programed with it being can bus problem
