No bother mate, as per pm ii have never done it, thought myself the leads be plug and play.
I know some might need a switched live, but i would have thought the leads you bought would have covered that, does it say anything about a switched live?

Talking about switched lives I removed my standard radio in my a4 and replaced it with a kenwood and that wouldn't power up so when I looked a little further with a multimeter I traced the problem to be no switched live from the main cars harness so it didn't matter what adaptor was used it wasn't even getting a live so I ran a wire from the fuse box switched live and fused it job done

sorry dont no why its put multiple pics on i dont no about any switch live i will have a read about it mate

my single din powers up no probs but i thought that if i bought the quadlock that it would b a straight plug and play into the double radio as u can see in the pics that the quadlock has the right look i just dont no why i cant get any power what so ever pal

Yeh when you plug your adaptor into the cars harness if there is a way you can check you have 12v when you switch your ignition on and it should die when turned off on either a yellow or red cable I think with a multimeter

By the look of the last picture of the harness you should have a switched live on the right side of the harness the two top black plugs on the left one you have a thicker yellow wire

Your original head unit is designed for your car. I'd never came across this before I did my head unit change either. Just check you got switched live first if you have then the problems is something else

when i look at the diagram on top of the radio it says that the thick yellow cable goes to +ub in the radio its self which i dont no what it means lol

You just need to make sure you have earth live and a switched live mate if your missing one it won't power up

+ub look at the back of the stereo you have 4 rows of pins with 4 in a row.
The last row and 3rd down the yellow needs to go to that pin.
Put in the quad connector and see what wire is on that same pin, what colour is it?

Do you have the code for the stereo?

Why is there 4 iso connectors when the car will only have 2??

universal iso to quadlock?

Yes they match up and do have the code when I unplug the old radio I have 4 single block that's why I bought that harness

Do you have boss system installed because the other connectors might be for that

No I don't have the bose sound system it's just the standard one

Yes I have just got the sline steering wheel at the same time as the radio so that I could have controls on the wheel

The DD radios from 07 onwards require 2 lives not one, we can get this all installed & working for you.
