if you get one from argos and it doesnt work or is as good as expected, you can return it.

just make sure it does can bus on 2004+ audis etc. and your in business.

and you get a year guarantee.

my local garage uses one and it was pretty good until i got my vag com.

Wouldn't have put the RAC ones in the same bracket as the ebay ones.

Might give the RAC one a go and return for a refund if necessary. Nothing to lose there really.

Ross-tech is just too expensive for my needs. I really only want to be able to scan for errors and clear if needed, that's about it. No re-coding etc etc.

It works just fine no agro just plug & play, I ordered it around 20:00 on a Friday evening and it was here on the Monday by mid day courtsey of TNT express. When it turned up the driver disc was cracked contacted the support and I had it downloaded from their web site and running in a hour!

Ok, I see it's $30 for the cable and software, how much is the shipping?

Also, what is the software they use?

If you look on the website for the postage, it's a little high but it's seriously quick. It uses Vag Com 805.0
