    RIP indeed. I met Patrick Moore 2 or 3 times when I was a nipper, when my mum used to drag me along to various astronomy meetings with a couple of friends. I can't remember much as it was a loooong time ago, but I do remember he recognised me after the first meeting and spent a long time personally showing me pictures and talking through them. I'm sure I still have his autograph somewhere.

    EDIT: Thanks for the link spooky, I managed to catch it on BBC iplayer. Only 4 days left for those that missed it.
