Hi all,

Been testing A3s this week. Some good, some bad. Drove a good candidate 8P2 2.0T today with 60k on clock,
seemed tidy. One question, at speeds around 60/80mph at high revs is it normal for
there to be a high-ish pitch whirring? Linear with road speed? Whirring pauses when shifting gears (manual).

My thinking is it could be the diff, but being unfamiliar with the car, was looking for thoughts. This car drove
very well and don't want to mistake turbo or normal noise for fault.

Obvs will get inspection, but wanted to know if it rules out the car or if it is a normal sound.

Cheers guys!

No it's not normal... Well mine doesn't do it but mine only has 30k miles on it. Has it had a Haldex oil change??
