    Hi guys

2 things. Firstly, anyone know where I can get clear front indicator bulbs from. The orange ones don't look that good!

Also, what involved in fitting Xenon Audi lights to the A4?

You can get replacement indicator bulbs from www.powerbulbs.com. I use Philips Silvervision.

Can't help you with the Xenons.

If you're thinking about using Audi parts - forget it!

Take a look HERE - The conversion kits seem to be pretty good BUT dont forget a factory HID set up will have auto levelling lights (sensors on the suspension and motors in the lamps) and headlamp washers too.

It will be interesting to see what the MOT testers make of these kits come MOT time...........................

i've never failed a car on auto leveling and washers as i can't as there not part of the test, just get the beam image and aim checked after fitting (that's all they can fail on)

    Yeah good call Pete.
As ever the MOT test has no bearing on 'Construction and Use' I doubt any of the testers at my place would pick up on them either..............

Just so I understand...do you turn a blind eye with regards the headlight cleaners or are you saying they're not required.

If so why do all the manufacturers waste money installing them?

Full HID conversion, I got a 7000k kit, but I would say for the best colour go for a 6000k one, the 5400k is the brightest, If you like the blue go for 6000k, 7000k is a little too blue but is still fine. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

ec rules and i think the law states if you have xenon you have to have washers
but there not part of the MOT test so can't fail

Pete's right Scotty- Type approval is one thing ............. But the MOT test is something else altogether......................

If it's not part of the test , how can it be tested or failed?

I asked our MOT QC today and he said if the beam pattern and height were ok on the beam tester then it'll pass.

Well that's a rule worth having then!

A car when new and therefore likely to be working properly and be correctly adjusted has to come wiht head light cleaners but when it's 3 years old and maybe not so cared for it doesn't matter.

So glad I pay so much in taxes for the EU to introduce partial rules. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif
