I'm at 78000 miles, and I've about to embark on a three week holiday down to Italy and Croatia. I'm getting paranoid about the MAF going, as I've heard it goes at about this mileage. Is it something worth worring about- ie: is it gonna be worth getting it changed before it fails?

    Discussed at length here.

My personal opinion; They clearly have a problem with the life of MAFs and they often deteriorate over time, so you may not notice it going wrong. For the sake of £75 you can have peace of mind and possibly some new found performance.

Looking at your mileage, have you had the cam belt done?
