not the best day, ive been at santapod last weekend for USC and on the Sunday i decided to run my s3 up the strip.

i managed to get excellent starts with a reaction time of 0.4 which i was pretty chuffed with but as soon as i got into 3rd and 4th gear my boost dropped around 4k and the best time i could get was 15.2 at 88mph.

Im running stage two AMD map, full miltek exhaust, cone filter, forge TIP, 007p dv relocated,
and all silicon turbo hoses etc.

had it on dyno and got a printout for 268 bhp and 284lb/ft torque when it was mapped.

I met a guy in an a3 at santapod who was kind enough to checked my car for fault codes and came up with 2 codes one was something to do with the MAF and the other was the SAI

any ideas as to why my boost was dropping?

P.S iv just changed my MAF about 2months ago

    cheers Danny

i ran mine on friday and eventually on sat, sounds like your maf is knacker if its bringing up a fault code, but you might have a boost leak tho.

doh. was your replacement maf a genuine one

Did you change the MAF for an original unit or a replacement part?

just fount the problem, got back from work to day and decided to check all the boost hoses etc and found a 4cm split in the pipe that used to connect to the dumpvalve which i blocked of when i relocated it.
just changed it for a bit of silicone pipe and the car is unreal now,
the difference is about the same from standard to when i had my stage 1 map put on.
also my exhaust pops and bangs now lol.

bit pissed off i didn't find it before i took it on the quarter mile.
