So im thinking of a xenon headlight upgrade for my B8, it has standard halogens. I know some coding needs to be done on VCDS to accept the new Xenon bulb/LED DRL, but my idea is to switch back to the halogen units for MOT. Once coded for the new xenon headlights, would the halogen units work if i put them back in, or would it have to be coded back to halogen again?

Why are you wanting to switch back to halogens for MOT? Seems a lot of hassle. If it's due to the lack of auto-leveling and headlight washers, dont panic, you will be fine.

I havent heard or read of many people converting Halogen B8s to Xenons. Doesn't seem to be very popular perhaps due to the cost and the Xenons being quite common anyways.

NI have the same MOT as the rest of the UK yeah?
