Purchased the cable from NHN on this site (great service, well recommended).

Now... what funky things can I do with this bad boy other than scan for codes? Can someone point me towards any sites or even in the right direction?

I've just bought an A5 too so looking forward to have a play around with that!

    Some basic info here:

    http://www.ross-tech.com/vag-com/cars/audiB6.html

Lots on this site if you do a search.

Besides scanning for faults I have used mine for the following:

Code instrument cluster following full DIS retrofit
Code steering wheel/engine after Cruise control retrofit
    Adjust calculation of MPG
    Enable windows with remote
    Enable one-click all-doors unlock
    Enable beep on lock

Just noticed, someone has asked me if I'm able to code a new cluster for his VAG car but I didn't think I could do this as I'm sure the mileage on the cluster would also need amended? Or does the cluster read the mileage from elsewhere in the car?

Milage can be changed with correct tools. I do this when i perform the actual cluster swap, I cant 'clock' cars for the hell of it :D

It all comes down to what the car supports & the vcds module file details, best thing is to get the car & have a nosey round :)

ahhh ok. When you say tools - does that mean a different cable too? Pal of mine has a new cluster for his A4 B6 Chassis. Would be an interesting project.
