Went out to the drive, drivers side rear flatter than Tara Palmer Tomkinson.
Mucho struggling with a screwdriver to get the plastic caps off the nuts,THEN I notice that Audi give you little plastic tweezers to do it with...
    Sheeeeesh...
£149 for a new Sport contact II.
It could have been repaired, but I wanted to teach the company a lesson as it was one of our nails that did it.( We have a crate making company on-site ).
Lazy twats fire their nail guns like it's the opening scene of Private Ryan, but never pick up the strays.

Wish I had these. Audi supplied me with something akin to a bent allen key and its murder getting those plastic caps off. Pull at one side then the other etc, etc. Tweezer idea sounds good.

£149 for 18's sounds good, as mine were £140 for 17's conti sport ll's.

At least you didn't have to foot the bill !

  4. Managed to get some 17" Conti II's for £104 each. As said before least you didnt have to foot the bill

Bit of a way to travel for you guys, but for anyone down south, Micheldever Tyres do Goodyear F1s in a 225x40x18 Z rated for £109 each all in.

I'll be getting two very shortly unfortunately.

Yeah, I am bowfer, but unfortunately it dosen't cover punctured tyres that are unrepairable.

Thanks for the info though, as it could come in useful in the future /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beerchug.gif

If I were going for a pair of tyres,I would go for the F1's (and I plan to do so when the fronts wear out).

However,my tyres are all 'new',so I wanted the OE fitment.

Kenway would want £129.00 for extra load F1's.

Are you sure Micheldever are quoting you for the extra load tyres ?

Cheapest I can find them up here is £117,which isn't massively different from your price Eeef.

    Japper,that was Sillet tyres (638419)
If they're so cheap for the 18's,one can only assume your 17's would be equally cheap.

I didn't ask what they were for the Sport contact II's,sorry. ( doh ! )

As I said though,it's F1's for me next.

I must admit,I'm pleasantly surprised at the price of F1's for the car.

When I was in the waiting room, someone phoned for P-zero's (I didn't hear the size) but they were quoted £245 each !

    Lambo ?

Nah, haven't seen any lambo's in Aberdeen, but there's a nice couple of F430's going about, as well as the loads of porkers.
