Not yet you cant, maybe in the future.

    You can:-
Download Mp3, vids, pics and books onto it.

Hook it upto the web and browse the net via wireless.

    Play via wireless multiplayer games.

Great toy if you travel a lot.

I got 2 games, wipeout and twisted metal. Twisted metal is great via multy player /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Yep - have been looking on ebay - you can pick one up for around £130 (bargain if it arrives!)...
How does the multiplayer work? Is it blue toothed?

What do you think about the gizmondo? It uses the Microsoft platform apparently (bit like XBox) - I had a quick go of one in their shop down Regent Street - only problem i found was that the screen was tiny!

Gizmondo, not seen 1 mate, but nothing comes close to a PSP at the moment, its basically a portable PS2.

Wireless works via a wireless lan, so if you have got adsl / cable, u will need to buy a wireles router / access point. Only about £40 I think.

Officailly you cannot browse the web on a psp even though sony put a browser on it. But some clever chap has discovered a hack so the hidden browser can view external web pages, you'll need wipeout to exploit this though.

Where did you get yours from mate and how much did it set you back? Been looking around and apparently its the jap one you should go for but have been a bit weary about ordering one over the net.

My missis's parents went over to the states, and it tied in with th release date over in the US. They picked me 1 up over there.

Cost about $280 all in. That was the value pack with spider man 2 move and 2 games.

So at the current exchange rate, about £150-160 with the 2 games.

I heard not to go for the Jap 1 as some of the menu is in japanese.

I have the Jap version and has the same region code for UMD film discs as the UK,
if you want to buy them, US will be different.
All games work on all machines wherever theyre from.
Only difference for Jap version, once you've set the language to english during first boot,
is you press circle to select rather than x in the o/s menus.

With a 1gb Sandisk duo stick (£90ish) you can fit 2-3 full movies in acceptable
quality and 10 albums in mp3.

Unless you can get somebody to smuggle you one back from the states,
safest bet is to buy from a UK importer based in the UK, so excise duty is already paid.

Check electricbirdland.co.uk or nuplayer.co.uk for starters. Lik-sang get great reviews for service,
but you can't be sure of the extra duty and handling charges the couriers will add!
