3.5bn pounds to recreate the big bang................way over my head, but read about it yesterday in the daily rag. Apparently tomorrows test will either offer answers to cancer / safe disposal of radioactive waste to the answer to life..................or it will start the count down clock to humans destruction.

    I'm hoping for the former

If it was as serious as the papers are making out I would of thought that one of the superpowers would of intervened.
watched the programme on BBC4 and found it amusing that they asked a scientist on whether it was dangerous and she said 'I personally think its safe'.......as if she would be sued if it went tits up.

They not even properly started yet. Plenty time yet to create a black hole and destroy the world.

Still the thing that worried me was the scared look on the scientists faces before hand and then the utter relief after when it started without an issue.

Scary thing is they dont actually know 100% what will happen when they truely start the experiment.....Fun and games.
