Power steering cooling pipe?

    Unlikely but...

    Does anybody have a power steering cooling pipe that I could buy?

    Oh yeah.. for an AEB code engine.

    ..does anybody know of a cheap supplier. Just spoke to Audi and they want over £50.00 for it!!!!! It's only a tiny bent pipe for fecks sake!

    Would the steering rack and associated pipes + pump be the same for my AEB? As thats what i need.

    ive read somewhere theres a 'sports' rack and a standard rack but not sure if its true, ive got the pump off and the pipes but racks still on car at mo. car had covered 90k and everything ive removed has been mint

    lee, pipes on its way, with a bit of luck it'll get there tommorrow, mint condition and air temp holder thingy intact

    My car is running the setup from my 1.8 na ADR engine, i didnt even dissconect any pipes, just removed the pump out of the way as far as the pipes would reach.

    Yup, your right, there was a thread on here, people asking how many turns lock to lock it was, and there where two types, one fitted 'normal' spec cars, and one to cars with the sports kit. i remember checking my old 1.9TDI sport which had it, and my 2.8 quat does too.

    there are Sport racks and non sport, versions.

    If your having to change the rack its probably worthwhile trying to get the sport version though, as it provides a lot more feel and it more precise than the other one.
