How on earth do i get a power lead through the bulkhead on my 2000 A4 V6 TDi? Heard stories about the screens leaking around the base so a bit worried where to go with the cable incase water gets in? Anyone gimme any advice on where to route it?
    Cheers!

Through the plastic cover on the ECU is the easiest way, there's even a spare rubber grommet on the front.
You just need to remove the visible screws on the top and this'll give you enough room to route the cable straight into the drivers footwell. There's one screw at the back that's impossible to get to, so I just left it and prised the top up at the front.

Sorry I wanted to get a better photo.
The hole that drops down into the drivers footwell is actually at the back behind the ECU (on the B6 its at the front so a lot easier). So you need to unclip the ECU to give you a bit of space. If you shine a torch up from the footwell you'll be able to see the light in the ECU.

It was a long while ago I did mine so I must've taken the power lead round the back somehow (probably removed the whole box), but when I ran the cable for my laser jammer I took it through the front, but as you can see it's a lot thinner. Maybe easier to remove the plastic splash guard underneath the wiper so you can see what you're doing.

On the opposite side to that theres a rubber surround around the air conditioning pipes. You can squeeze it through there and it comes out behind the glovebox. Not easy but it worked for me.

Lol i know what you mean. I got a coat hanger and straightened it out and pushed it down with the power lead taped to it. Eventually i got it to work after a few attempts.
