    Right
    ive got an 04 A3 tdi 140
    Lovely car!
battery was flat as i left it stood for a month or two and wouldnt hold charge,

it is 9+yrs old so splashed out on a new BOSCH S3 (there are two but i went for the more expensive one from ECP)
Started her up, first time perfect!
then ping abs fault, red steering wheel no power steering
    GREAT!

abs fault went away when i drove it around the block, but still no PS
    Checked the fuse, fine

what am i missing out on?

is there a reset thing i can do? is it because when i changed the battery it lost all the previous settings? (radio was in safe mode?)

not sure if it was related but i turned all the airbags off as a friend had all the airbags deploy just by changing the battery haha!

With the engine running try turning lock to lock and holding the steering on full lock for about 3 seconds each side. Then drive forwards with the steering in the straight ahead position for about 20 seconds above 20mph.

Try using the forum search facility before posting this up, as it has all the info you need, this has been covered multiple times now & doesnt need repeating over & over again.
