Hi everyone. Been flicking through this thread most of the day and have to say I'm loving a lot of these motors. Getting some good ideas from you all too! Here's a selection of my current toy.
And lastly, fun in the snow a couple years ago:
Cheers for looking!
I'm really liking that updated bumper. Hoffle?
Not posted any pics of my Avant as yet because it was pretty shabby when i got it too be honest but now it has my Rs4 reps on with some 20mm spacers and it got a couple of coats of colinite toped off with some enduroseal this weekend
Looks good that Mark
Cheers James..... just hope this nice weather holds out for next weekend and i can get up on the moors for some nice backdrops and take a few more pics
Quick phone snap seeing as its a luvly day in Scotland.

Finally I also can contribute to this topic. Hello from Latvia
For now Q7 edition, but coilovers are already on way.
Nice wheels...car looks nice, you could add some door blades
Iâve been browsing the photos here, and keep popping on looking for ideas and advice, and thought Iâd join and post a few photos of my pride and joy. I picked this S4 up a little over 2 months ago, the car had stood unloved on an Audi specialist dealer over the winter, so need a bit of TLC (ongoing) to make it look good again.
Having owned lots of other VAG motors previously, Many Golf Gtiâs, A B5 2.8 Quattro saloon, several Toyota MR2s, BMW 328's, an M3 and a Subaru Impreza Sportswagon (that I hated) amongst others, but it was always a dream to own a V8, and as we already have one practical family/dog car (Freelander) in the house, I decided it would be a soft top for summer fun, as well as being my everyday car. Only stipulation from the missus, was that it had to have 4 seats, so it was down to either an E46 M3, or an S4 Cab. I'm glad I chose the S4..... I work local to home, so fuel consumption wasnât really an issue.
My S4 is âwork in progressâ firstly I replaced the standard wheels, with some replica RS4 wheels, (for now) purely as I wanted to update the look, but keep the 18 inch Goodyear Eagle F1 tyres all round, that still had lots of tread on them. I also spent a day degreasing the brake calipers, spray painting them with silver caliper paint, and adding S4 decals. Thats as far as I've got for now, as my wedding is looming, and both cash and time is scarce!
So far, other than a couple of glitches, the cars been superb, love how it drives, looks, and most of all, sounds! as for the glitches, it went in for an oil change and inspection about six weeks ago, and began to leak oil a couple of weeks later, creating a oil burning smell in the cabin, this was diagnosed as cam cover seals, which were duly replaced (so far, so good) whilst being serviced, a suspension arm bush was noticed to be split, which was replaced while in for the oil leak repair, unfortunately the suspension arm was well and truly seized to the suspension leg, so ended up replacing both suspension arm, and leg... cost an arm and a leg too... but as soon as I got it back, and heard that engine again, I couldn't stay mad at it for long.
As for the future, I'll be adding lots of polish, probably a non resonated Milltek cat back, panel filter, and possibly a VIEZU remap, which should make it around 370hp(ish) and a bit more responsive and free-flowing.
So, total n00b to the site. Some really nice cars in this thread. This is mine as it stands, but I'm flogging the 19"s that are on it (which are genuine) and getting some different wheels and coilies. I used to be a "dub boy" (for my sins, *sigh* ) a few years ago, until I got into Land Rovers, and finally found my way back to a proper car . Anyway, this is how it looks at the minute. Please be gentle:
Welcome, looks a clean car :icon_thumright:
Thanks . It is generally pretty clean, not perfect though. I'm seriously considering chopping it in for a nice 1.8T B6 though!
Nice clean car mate, not sure about the front grills.
Thanks very much .
Yeah it was done like that when I bought it. In all honesty it looks better in the flesh but I think it may be covering something. Once I've got the wheels/coilies on I'll rip it off. It'd be a good excuse to get the plate recess smoothed
going to looks miles better with that removed and smoothend plate recess, cant wait to see that. :icon_thumright:
It'll look a million time better as soon as I've got it dropped...
hi whats that bonnet grill you have, been looking for one
Erm.. what's that on your mirrors?
looks like sticker bomb
what's that then? piling a load of stickers on and laquering over the top? Everyone's entitled to their own tastes (and as has been repeated many times it would be a boring place if we all thought the same way).. but I can't help thinking it detracts from an otherwise really nice looking car. Quite an aggresive look. apart from the mirrors. Like Vinny Jones wearing floral mittens. (I mean this in good humour by the way and hope it's taken as such. I genuinely do like the car otherwise and wouldn't fear a bit of good natured ribbing about my own tastes)
yep you got it in one, started of with the polo / lupo owners then beame a scene thing for the younger generation' Hold on a minute...................... im only 29 myself
Can't remeber the grille make, cost about £300, the mirrors there actually a carbon wrap of Ed hardy artwork, I'm a vinyl wrapper and wanted to show off my companies work without going crazy on the car, been debating about wrapping car but always stick with black. Nah I take everyone's comments lightly.
Had a little go with the new DSLR the other day
Oh and this one
fair dues mate
Can we see a close up of a mirror please? It sounds much more interesting than stickers
Dubbers, did you have someone else to take the pictures while you move the car or did you move the car an ran back up to take pics
Had a mate run up with my camera
, any plans? get some more closer photos up, looks good from up here
look alot better close up, makes the car personal the design
