Looking good jardo, surely thats the worlds longest dv relocation kit? Haha.
Yeah it's pretty huge, but it does the job. The brass joiners are solder joint radiator elbows haha.
Doing away with the catch can next week and venting to atmosphere/the road which will tidy things up a fair bit. Just so many hoses and wires and stuff; but it's inevitable on a 1.8t
Unfortunately like you say, you can try and tidy the bay up but no matter what theres always something left you don want.
So look alot tidier without the catch can, you putting a filter on the end and running down near the sump or to the rear of the car like me and westy etc?
Yeah, plan is just to run it down and zip tie it to the steering rack bracket and put a small filter tucked in under the current T piece.
I can't believe how much rubbish and gunk gets clogged into the pipes, pretty much all of my driving is stop start cold driving to work, so it needs to be done.
What size are your lms?
Be careful if you put it their mate, i had mine their before relocating to the back ofthe car due to the smells in cabin, i do have the bonnet run strip removed though so gases where working their way up to the pollen filter area.
your going to vent the catch tank to atmos rather than the TIP or you are completely removing the catch tank and venting the block and head directly to atmos?
Well after playing around in my Subaru's I need something a little more friendly in the pocket department so I've recently acquired this very tidy S3 hope you approve
Mine smells like arse inside anyway haha, I'll run it as far down as I can and hopefully it will all go underneath as apposed to above. Prawns car always used to smell oily and smokey inside too, I wonder if this is why.
I'm removing the catch can, leaving the T piece and PCV hoses hooked up as they are. And then using the output on the old T Piece which went to the catch can to run down to the bottom of the engine bay where I will have it vent to atmosphere without a filter.
I'll remove the PCV puck and fit a 19mm bung in its place.
The bonnet bra has since been removed.
This is mine on its winter wheels.
Notice how narrow it is in the back, waiting longer wheel bolts so I can mount the 20mm spacers
And now it start to seem that the winter wheels will be necessary
The guy that owns the Chinese just bought me out a tub of crispy chilli beef (he knows I love it) and said "eh, you clean car more than my wife showers!"
Dirrrrrrrrty *****.... Literally!!
I might start cleaning my car outside jojo's shop.
I really need to get some pictures and video's of mine
Some nice A3/S3
Right its been a long time, the sun was out the car was clean-ish it was a good time to get the Lumix out and get some shot of my car everyone is asking for, I managed to get a bit of video with the new GoPro but there not the best as i'm still playing with it. I didn't use full throttle shifting so i took it easy if you would like to call it but the test was from 70 to 140
By the way the oil pressure gauge needle is sticking so it not always running 4 bar all the time
Bery nice mate, sounds epic.
