Just few pics:
Here are some up dates, been busy with the car! its turning in to a money pit lol!
Here is a pics before,
This next pic is how it stands now, new wheels, coilovers, tie arms, polly bushes, and a heap of other stuff. I have anothert bumper but i am just waiting for more funds to get it sprayed, and a couple of touch ups done to the car. hope you like.
I will be starting a build thread as soon as the sun goes away.
On its new KW coilies:
Oh well there she goes last pic.
Finally fitted some AP coilvers! Just needs some spacing all round
Will update when I have some spacers!
Sad times Adam, I drove past last week and saw a BM 5 series parked up next to it, think you were chatting to someone about the car?
Hi dude, yeh it was a tyre kicker, but had a guy come and get it on saturday, i took less than what i wanted but thats life.
Have you sorted yours yet dude? gutted i couldnt help you out with the coil pack.
Never thought that these wheels would suit the 8L but they look really, really good. Are they 19s? Reps or OEM?
Posted these and more in the welcome section, just thought I'd add a couple to this thread.
Love those wheels!
Finally, some photos of my Dolphin Grey S3 8L.
Running Rota Grid Drifts 9.5J all round, lowered on AP Coilovers with Forge Adjustable Rear Tie Arms, plus a few other aesthetic changes...
There really are some great looking cars showing up in this thread! Keep posting!
That looks awesome!
Kind of makes my pic look a bit rubbish now...
My Old Bucket with the RS6's on
That looks well Rick, defo prefer them to the bbs rims, very nice !!
I think you were parked in front of me at aitp and your car sat so perfectly on those wheels, absolutely loved it!
Was it you with the lovely clear headlights and kalibre rims ?
Think knoxie was directly behind me with knoxie junior playing gta all day
Ajd S3 - that looks amazing, what sort of arch work have you had done to get them under?
Literally all I've done is roll the front arches, so in other words folded the lips up on the inside, and trimmed the front and rear arch liners to give me a bit more space. The rear arches themselves are practically flush as standard, so I didn't need to touch these. There's absolutely no rubbing, not even on full lock or over bumps.
I really wanted to take the car up to Audis in the park this year, but unfortunately it clashed with my holiday. Really wanted to let people see it in the flesh!
So if i see it right, being that I have an a3 and that s3's have wider arches. With a bit of rolling, 8j rims would be achievable. I'd love a set of rota's, but quite keen on team dynamics 1.2. What et are you running?
8J would be achievable, but they would be VERY wide. Even with arch rolling, you'd probably get away with it, but it'd be the legal side of things I'd worry about...
My wheels are ET 23.
I wouldn't know exact measurements you'd need for your car, as you've already said, mine is far wider. Maybe ask some of the other guys with modified A3s?
Wasnt me im afraid i was in the line of silver s3's though, iirc those headlights were about a week old because dan had his car crashed into and recently set right. And knoxie's little boy was awesome! he will be driving by next week dont you worry!
The black S3 is mine, regards from Bulgaria
Some lowlife scum hacked my webspace so all my pictures are gone
can't edit my posts to correct links to new area so sorry about that guys
Posted a few pics before, but finally got round to taking some better ones after a good polish and wax. Sorry for the massive dent on the bonnet, I've a previous owner to thank for that..
My car's pretty standard atm, apart from: forge 007p, plate surrounds, wind deflectors, aero wipers, black grille and Re-badged. I'm planning on
getting the facelift rear lights and lowering it 25mm with some RSTT's, then going to look at some performance mods..
Thanks for looking
Wow! Love this car.. looks amazing! Crystal blue, same colour as my dads old A4. By far one of the best colours for the A3.
